Although most of our members feel like the Fall 2015 Semester only just ended, the reality is that the Planning Team has been furiously getting ready for the Spring 2016 Semester for months. We have several events planned leading up to the new semester, along with the unveiling of the classes we will be offering after the New Year. While you can view a list of the important dates in the new semester here, here is a summary of what you have to look forward to in the next few months…
Class Submission Period: From now until January 6th, 2016, we are accepting submissions from teachers for classes they’d like to teach next semester. Anyone can be a teacher – read more about how to submit classes here.
HOP Gathering and Potluck: January 24th, 2016, Wall Springs Park, Palm Harbor, @2pm. This fun gathering is an opportunity for families to come out to talk, eat and play with other families from HOP. Everyone is invited, whether your family has ever attended our co-op or not. Former co-op attendees will appreciate being able to play with their friends in between the Fall and Spring Semesters. New families can take the opportunity to say hello to our Planning Team and see in-person what makes our co-op so special. [Please see our Facebook page to view more information and RSVP for this event.]
Meet and Greet: January 27th, 2016, Dunedin Community Center’s Gym. 11:30am-2:30pm. This event is an opportunity for any family who is interested in taking classes for the Spring semester to come out and meet the teachers. Most teachers will have tables set up with information (and sometimes activities) about each class being offered. Parents and students can ask questions about each class to see if it sounds like it would be a good fit with the student. Families new to our co-op will have a chance to tour the facility, so that parents and children can become comfortable with the facility before classes begin.
Registration Begins!: January 28th, 2016
First Day of Classes: 2/17/2016
Our Planning Team is incredibly pleased by how the Fall Semester went at our new facility (the Dunedin Community Center) and is happily looking forward to our next semester!
