This class gives students the opportunity to explore a variety of games that children are playing around the globe. It will be a combination of geography, history, learning the rules of the games, and ultimately having fun playing them. We will have lots of fun making our own creative versions of the games we learn about so you can play them at home as well. There will also be time for other matches such as checkers, chess, and fun board games on special days of the semester, so students can bring in their favorites and teach others how to play.

**Playing games offers a wide range of benefits. Games help develop skills including social, language, problem-solving, and critical thinking. They also provide opportunities for students to practice teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance.
