Young kids will learn about classic and contemporary art through exploration, books, and experimentation. Projects will be oriented around artists whose work we will generate conversation about. Students will get to create their own vision of the ideas based on the discussion and skills learned. The semester will include drawing, painting, color theory, and sculpture. They will get to use materials such as an array of markers, colored pencils, pens, paints, and will get a sketchbook to take home at the end of the semester.
Parents are asked to drop off for this class, however their presence may be requested if a need comes up. Payment (in half or full, plus all the materials fee) must be made before classes commence.
