Join us as we learn about the amazing people who called “America” home long before European settlers arrived. The goal of this hands-on class will be to discover some of the stories of these diverse civilizations throughout time, from the Paleo to today, as we explore the skills, crafts, traditions, and folktales of these cultures. All activities will be conducted with the utmost respect for the people and their history. We will investigate the indigenous people throughout the Americas, but will pay special attention to the nations and tribes of Florida. Damon does not claim any indigenous blood, but rather a deep passion and respect for these people and their ways.
