Tween/Teen Healthy Mind and Body Yoga!

Join Lisa Dryden, 200 hour Certified Yoga Instructor, for this Yoga Class specifically designed for the tween/teen! We will have 2 parts to class- discussion then practice. The first part of class will be a group discussion/workshop with a focus on the life sciences of Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology, along with health concepts, yoga philosophy, & participant interest. The second part of class will consist of the physical practice of yoga where our discussion will be incorporated into breathing techniques, physical postures, and meditation.

For example, we could have a discussion about yoga & mental health. We will look at the location of the brain & spinal cord (anatomy) how they function (physiology), and how certain yoga breathing techniques, and physical postures sharpen the mind for a variety of sports (participant interest). Leave class feeling empowered with the knowledge of a Healthy Mind and Body!
