Fee: $85 plus $10 materials fee for a music book to be kept by the student
Have you ever wanted to learn how to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass? Learning to play with others is a great way to get started. Learn the fundamentals of how to play and sound good, take care of the instrument, read music, and be creative with your new instrument. We’ll put on a showcase for our final class to show what we’ve learned.
Advertised for ages 9-12 but open to any ages. Pacing will be geared towards 4th-6th grade learners. Students will need their own instrument and accessories. A portable, wire music stand is required and can be supplied for an additional $20 and will be kept by the student.
Violin & Viola: Instrument, bow, rosin, shoulder rest, wire music stand
Cello & Bass: Instrument, bow, rosin, rock stop, wire music stand. Bass players may also want a 20-24″ wooden stool to play on (recommended).
