In this class we will combine our reading skills and play acting to put on some zany, FUN performances. We will use Fairy Tales with some not-so-traditional endings and learn that “Happily Ever After” can take on different meanings. For example, What if Cinderella had never married the prince, but became a veterinarian instead? OR what if The Big Bad Wolf had become a teacher instead of pursuing a career as a BIG BAD WOLF?
Each week we will practice reading a Zany, Fairytale play until we get comfortable with our lines. Then, we will create our own props, costumes, puppets, and more with the goal of putting on several mini performances. There will also be some creative writing and magical theater illustrations. So, come discover the world of play acting while practicing reading scripts and finding your authentic theater voice.
