Welcome to another semester of learning basics on adulting.
For those who have already taken this class, welcome back. For those new to it, welcome. All of you will be able to fit in just perfectly.
We will review some items we covered in the last course (Fall 2023) and we will be covering new items this semester.
Some of the subjects I want to include this semester:
Human Interaction Points: How to say hello, shake someone’s hand, answer the phone, write a thank you letter, show up for an interview, ask for assistance anywhere, write a letter, introduce someone to another person and more.
Jobs, careers, entrepreneurship – job interviews, job applications, TAXES, salaries, what it means to run your own business.
I PLAN TO HAVE SOME GUEST SPEAKERS TALKING ABOUT THEIR CAREER AND CHOICES (I’m sooo excited!)
Car maintenance and care – tires, oil, washer fluid, cabin filter and more!
House maintenance and care – where’s the electrical panel, where’s the water main, what are toilet innards, how to simply unstick a garbage disposals, what are GFI outlets, how are gas homes different.
Domestic/living responsibilities – groceries, cooking, cleaning, mending, laundry…
CPR
Higher education – education beyond homeschool: trades schools, colleges, on the job training, self-teaching. Let’s look at your future.
