Blast off into space as we explore the wonders of the cosmos! We will investigate the hard science and the theoretical astrophysics surrounding our current understanding of the universe. We will tour our sun, Sol, and the dynamic Solar system surrounding it, including the planets and moons, comets and asteroids, the dwarf planets (and why Pluto got demoted,) and the Oort Cloud. We will investigate the height and depth of the universe, explore the Milky Way, Black Holes, Dwarf Stars, and loads of other amazing phenomena in space! Class will include a traveling planetarium show, an engineering space challenge, and some homework skywork observations to be done from home.
